Deborah Yang - Maid of Honor
My sister and shopper in crime. I’ve known Deborah for a whopping 24 years – all of Deborah’s entire life – of which I frequently reminds her of. True story: In elementary school, Deb would be so excited to pass me in the hallways and would tell me , “Hi!”. Apparently, a classmate sarcastically told her, “Why are you excited to see her? You see her everyday at home.” She burst into tears! Deb graduated from Emory University and works as an accountant in Atlanta, GA.
Sarah Yang - Maid of Honor
The baby sister who shares my love for Chipotle—Sarah knows how to make her burrito bowl count and topped high. She has a great sense of humor and knows how to make us all laugh! Sarah will be a high school senior at Peachtree Ridge High School in the 2013-2014 school year.
Leslie Chan - Bridesmaid
Esther originally thought Leslie was a huge weirdo. Thus, middle school went by without a hello. Fortunately, for Leslie, she proved Esther wrong, and they’ve been great friends since high school. She is a great fan of my mom’s cooking and a great baker herself! Leslie is getting her PhD in Bioengineering at the University of Washington.
Diana Vivirito - Bridesmaid
Half-Italian, Half-Mexican, and Half-Sized. Diana and Esther met during their first year of Optometry school and became fast friends. They have endured student council and countless classes at 7 am together! Diana graduated from UCLA and will graduate with her OD in 2014.
Lai Lee - Bridesmaid
Lai hails from the magical land of California. We bonded while commiserating over our clinic sessions and training for the BAA Half Marathon. We are once again in the process of training for another race together – though sadly it’s not the same race. Occasionally, she and Esther will drag Shahein on their crazed runs around the Charles River in Boston. Lai graduated from Berkeley and will graduate with her OD/MS in 2014.
Layla Tajmir - Bridesmaid
Layla is Shahein’s sister and is in the same grade as Sarah. She loves to read, frequently getting distracted by her myriad books rather than getting her chores done. She also has a fantastic voice and is a member of her choir. She will be a senior at Hoover High School in 2013-2014.
